The original Motocompacto, a small scooter that can fold into a rectangle for easy access and storage, was released sometime between 1981 and 1983 in Japan. While it never was released in the United States, it gained a cult following over the years.
40 years later, Honda has revived this scooter as the Motocompacto Honda electric scooter. The Motocompacto offers Sparta Twp and Hackettstown civilians to zip through the city with ease. Weighing in at 41 pounds, the Honda Motocompacto Electric Scooter can support up to 265 pounds. You will need to recharge the scooter once it runs out of gas. It takes up to 3.5 hours to charge the battery, and this can be done in the ready-to-ride or folded configurations using a standard 110-volt outlet.
With two drive modes, you can speed up to 10 mph in the first and up to 15 mph in the second. The scooter has a range of 12 miles, so if you want to zip through Denville, the Honda Motocompacto Electric Scooter is ideal.
