The Debut of the Honda Clarity EV & Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid

The New York Auto Show is one place where the world’s finest auto manufacturers really get to lay it all out and show the world what they’ve got in store. In recent years, more and more automakers are taking this chance to show off their development of green vehicles. Honda addressed the fuel-efficient segment at the international auto show this month with the introduction of the 2018 Honda Clarity EV and 2017 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid, both of which join the family of Honda Clarity Fuel Cell vehicles to form a triad of sporty and alternatively-fueled sedans. Honda Clarity EV

The all-electric 2018 Honda Clarity EV will allow you to go completely fuel-free while still sending out confident performance and allowing you to drive long distances. According to Honda, this model’s electric powertrain will be able to reach an 80% charge in only 30 minutes, and you’ll get up to a full charge in just a little more than 3 hours. Don’t think for a second that this model can’t perform, though, as you’ll still enjoy a peak output of a capable 221 lb-ft of torque.

Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid

Opt for the 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid, and you’ll get an EPA-estimated all-electric range of 42 miles*. This means that for your average daily commute, you won’t use any gasoline at all! After the all-electric range runs out, the vehicle will automatically kick into gasoline/electric hybrid mode. As with the Honda Clarity EV, you’ll also have access to top-notch technologies like Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and the Honda Sensing™ advanced safety suite.
