What Is the Honda Ridgeline Maintenance Schedule?

Have you ever wondered about when you need to get a Honda Ridgeline transmission fluid change, or when to replace your spark plugs? If not, no worries. Most Hackettstown and Denville drivers don’t think about this. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t, however. Honda Ridgeline Oil Type and Capacity

It’s important to use the right oil type when you perform your Honda Ridgeline routine maintenance. You’ll need the right oil, along with the right oil filter.

  • Honda Ridgeline Oil Type: OE 0W-20 Synthetic Motor Oil
  • Oil Capacity: After draining the oil and installing the new filter, refill the motor with 5.7 quarts of oil.

It’s important that you don’t overfill your Honda Ridgeline with oil. Placing too much can increase the pressure to unsatisfactory levels, causing your gaskets and seals to break.

As a general rule, any time you perform an oil change or any of the other maintenance tasks on the list, you should check the following:

  • Check your battery cables and have the battery tested
  • Check the PSI and rotate your tires
  • Check any connecting wires and fuses near the battery
